Welcome to the new decade. Happy and a prosperous new year, read one of the whatsapp messages that I got, on the 1st day of this year. This got me thinking who is really responsible for been happy? Who is responsible for ensuring that the year, the decade goes according to plan?

When everyone is busy going around posting their achievements and the things that went well for them, there are people who are counting their blessing and saying silent prayers, that they are lucky to be alive and see a new year, let alone a decade. This New Year and a new decade, we just don’t know what it will hold. We don’t know the future, but we can hope that it we will be still able to see another decade pass by.

For me the last decade has been a decade of firsts. Became a dad for the first time. Got a new house. got my son to start his school. Got married, switched jobs. Company got shut down (though it was not my fault!!). Yet, God miraculously led me and my family through the highs and the lows.

I look up to this new year for continued grace and blessing. This blog will cover almost all my thoughts. Though there might not be a regular post, I am hoping that I will be able to create a small impact if not big among my readers no matter how small they are.

There will be people who will ridicule me and my work, I have got news for them, I really don’t care. I hope that I will be able to give out good articles and good advises to you all. I look up to this year for knowledge and wisdom which will help me and all the people associated with me to excel. Letting go of negativity and negative people, pessimistic people would be one of my goals this year. That’s a whole lot of unwanted baggage.

There will be people who are genuinely interested in your views and opinions and who love to talk to you no matter what and who you are. Those are the people that you need to be around with. The Positive, optimistic people who look forward to learn from and teach you. Those are the genuine people whom you really want to hold close.

I really hope that this year be a year of firsts and year of lasts (for bad habits) for all of us. Let us take a decision to not hurt anyone or ridicule anyone coz, karma is a bitch! It can always come and get you anytime. If you are giving it out now, it will come and get you very soon.
