Acceptance

As I got up today, there was this strong thought in my head which was all about accepting the kind of person that I am today and now. What matters is the time – Now. As I wondered and pondered on who I am today, what really got me thinking of why am I the kind of person that I am today. Then it struck me – My Attitude. Off late, there has been lot of things thats going through my head. The vision and the mindset of me going solo in my venture as a entrepreneur has got me left me little or no time for my family. That and combined with the fact that I have been having very little sleep has led me to the state that I am in right now – Exhausted, tired and bickering. I was never a person who used to do things without any plan. But over a period of time, it has become a norm to do things on the fly and what suits for the time been. That really has been the modus operandi for me the past few months.

I am aware that, it doesn’t work like that and I want to break that. Come out of the jinx into making myself a better person, the better person that I was before. The first thing towards that is: Accept.

Accept the person that you are, accept that you are not all perfect and that you need help. This goes a long way. This, helps you to accept who you are and bring in the feeling that you are normal human being and that you are no superman. No one can be a superman, until and unless someone is really a superman, I highly doubt that’s the case with everyone. So now you have accepted that you are no superman and that you are a normal person. So what’s next? – Identify the areas that you need to improve.

Identifying the areas that needs attention is a good place to start with. Be positive and know that you can get through. I have always believed that you can be your own biggest critic and no one can do it better. Note it down in a diary where you write everything. Try to improve one thing at a time. When you are satisfied with the progress that you have made, strike it off your list. So now, we have accepted, identified ; next – Improve.

Lets put in another way. follow-up. This is the most important step. Without proper follow-up and support its always difficult to know how much you have progressed. Your yardstick is your progress chart.

I am in one such path write now. I have my limitations and I know what I am worth but I won’t compromise my integrity for the same. Having said that its ways important to accept your mistakes and own it and make changes within yourself to be a better person. Not everyone is perfect, but we all can work towards been a better person. One better person in this world is equivalent to one happy person in the family.
